PRESTON WHITE

Attorney for the Accused

Since I moved to Washington in 2016, I’ve focused on protecting the rights of the accused in Thurston County, and throughout the Pacific Northwest. As a veteran, I fought to protect the rights we hold dear from outside threats. As a criminal defense attorney, I fight to protect those rights from threats from within. I believe in honesty and integrity, and treat my clients with respect, regardless of their circumstances.

More About Me

WHAT TO DO IF YOU’RE ARRESTED

Here are the first four actions you need to take

1.
DON’T RESIST.

You may not think your arrest is justified. You may be right. But arguing with the officer, or the court will only create more problems for you. It is always in your best interest to stay calm, be respectful, assert your rights, and follow with the officer’s instructions.

2.
BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU SAY.

What you say can and will be used against you. Remember that. You have the right to have an attorney present before you answer any questions. If you are in the drivers seat of a vehicle, you may have to provide your name, and identification. Aside from that, you have the right to refuse to answer questions. You should do so politely.

3.
USE YOUR PHONE CALL.

Contact an attorney if you are being arrested, or are in jail, or contact a trusted friend or family member who can make important phone calls for you. This can make all the difference in your case.

4.
HIRE A CRIMINAL DEFENSE ATTORNEY.

All criminal charges are serious, and require the assistance of a skilled expert. Quick access to an attorney’s resources and knowledge can give you advantages you will need. If you’ve been arrested, contact me immediately.

THE STATE HAS AN ATTORNEY.

YOU SHOULD, TOO.

Where I Serve

While my office is located in Olympia, I'm proud to serve several counties throughout Washington.

Washington

Thurston County

Thurston County is home to the Washington Center for the Performing Arts and its largest city, Olympia.

Lewis County

Originally named Vancouver County, Lewis County is where tourists can visit the majestic Great Rock Wilderness.

Mason County

If you want to check Olympic National Park or Olympic National Forest off your bucket list, Mason County is where you want to go.

Grays Harbor County

When you have a love for the outdoors and affordable living, Grays Harbor is ideal.

Pierce County

Between the active volcano of Mount Rainier, the zoo, and aquarium, there's plenty to do in Pierce County.

Other Surrounding Areas

In addition, I can help if you're in any of these counties: King, Pacific, Cowlitz, Clark, and Wahkiakum.

I PRACTICE CRIMINAL DEFENSE

TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE GETS A FAIR SHOT AT JUSTICE.

When it comes to criminal charges, you deserve a lawyer who will treat your case with the respect and fairness that it deserves. With me, you get support that is unbiased and unwavering, regardless of what you’ve been accused of.

HONEST COMMUNICATION

When choosing an attorney, communication is one of the most important things to think about. There are many paths to resolving your legal issue. I ensure that you are aware of all of your options, up to and including trial. My goal is to provide you with a clear understanding and realistic expectations about the legal process. When it comes to your legal situation, there’s no such thing as a bad question.

PRACTICAL UNDERSTANDING

When faced with a legal issue, you need to be fully aware of how the process works. I provide you with a clear picture of the legal aspects of your case and the potential outcomes you may face. In addition, I will use this technical knowledge to steer your case in the most positive direction possible.

IDEAL RESULTS

Because I believe all cases are trial-worthy, I prepare accordingly. You shouldn’t enter a guilty plea simply because you have been accused of something. Instead, I strive for honesty and will work hard to help you meet your goal instead of working to meet my own. At the end of the day, your attorney works for you — not the other way around.
